Intern Diaries

After Graduating, the thought of finding my way in the world of graphic design was a daunting one. That was until I discovered Arena Creative; a fresh and friendly design agency right here in the heart of my hometown.

After I met the team behind Arena, I was immediately won over by the passionate ideas behind how the studio is run, and just how friendly and down to earth everyone here is. They were even kind enough to offer me a placement and from the word go I’ve been made to feel like an important part of the team.

My two-week placement quickly turned into a 6-month internship and over the last few months I’ve been given the opportunity to work on a huge variety of projects. I’ve even been trusted to draw a mural of picture frames onto the fresh white walls of the recently renovated studio. Whether the project has been client based, or in house, each one has provided me with a new challenge and an opportunity to learn.

During my time here at Arena Creative, I’ve learnt an incredible amount about both the theoretical and practical sides of the design industry, and I feel that this has helped me to grow and improve as a designer. Nonetheless, I know that there is so much more for me to learn and even more room for me to grow and that’s something I’m super excited about.
